At the New Zealand Road Champs in September Tim Hodge and Jane Pairman both wearing Loco’s had excellent runs. Tim won the M19 8km by almost half a minute recording 25:36. This was a continuation of an excellent run of form for Tim over the winter months. Jane was 3rd in the W40 event.
Three new clubs have joined Locos club loyalty scheme. They are University of Canterbury, Trentham United Harriers and Walkers Club and Tasman based Waimea Harriers. Welcome to these clubs. Every harrier club in New Zealand should join up to this scheme because it means if a club member of that particular club purchases a pair of Locos, Loco NZ will pay money into the club coffers! It’s a win win situation for all concerned!
Available in November will be the new Carumba training shoe. Cost will be $135. This shoe is ideal for the neutral runner who wants a well cushioned but lightweight training shoe. In the latest Track and Field News magazine, the Carumba was voted one of the best lightweight training shoes on the market.
In November Loco NZ Ltd will once again be supporting the PUSH PLAY Corporate Challenge Races. These races are approximately 5km in distance. Race dates are Christchurch Nov 2nd, Wellington November 9th and Auckland November 16th.
